What: IEEE Chapter Meeting
When: Wednesday, October 21, 2015 11:45a.m. - 1:20p.m.
Where: 201 Forsyth

Come join us this Wednesday in 201 Forsyth to hear Eric Kedaigle from MITRE give a talk entitled “MITRE and the Growth of Embedded Security”.

Embedded security is a growing concern for the government and industry alike. With devices growing smaller and more portable, and the emergence of the IoT (Internet of Things), there is a need to protect not only against network-based attacks, but from physical attacks as well. To increase awareness of this important field, MITRE has developed the eCTF (Embedded Capture the Flag) contest, where teams of students will compete to solve embedded security challenges. This talk will provide an overview of embedded security, discuss the role of MITRE in electronics prototyping and security, and introduce the eCTF.
