Prof. Shashi Murthy is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering and the Founding Director of the Michael J. and Ann Sherman Center for Engineering Entrepreneurship. This informative talk will describe the transition of a technology developed in Prof. Murthy’s lab into a startup company that now employs four people. He will discuss key steps in transitioning from production at the lab bench to ISO-standard manufacturing, customer and market analyses, differentiation from competitors, and fundraising.
